Druhý den výletu do Karlových Varů byl ve znamení Zámku a Hradu Bečov nad Teplou a Loktu.
Jelikož jsme v Karlových Varech byly fakt jen na den, který bohatě stačí, chtěly jsme ještě navštívit tyto zmíněné hrady, protože jsou od Varů fakt kousíček.
Původně jsme ráno chtěly ještě na onu Dianovu rozhlednu, kterou jsem zmiňovala minule, ale i v neděli se konal triatlon, ulice by se zavřely a my měly strach, že bychom se pak nedostaly ani domu, a tak jsme se na to vykašlaly. A musím zmínit Vánoční dům, který jsme objevily náhodou cestou z Varů právě na Bečov, jen byl ten den otevřený až od 13 hod a to jsme nechtěly čekat.
V Bečově nad Teplou jsme šly i na prohlídku, abychom viděly Relikviář sv. Maura, který je po korunovačních klenotech druhou nejvíce movitou památkou v ČR.
Prohlídka už nebyla, jako dříve, tedy neprovází už po interiérech hradu, nicméně vás pustí do "muzea", kde si můžete přečíst/poslechnou/zhlédnout historii, jak relikviář schovaly a zakopaly v kapli, restauraovali apod. a pak druhá část už je právě samotný relikviář a jeho vystavení. Je fakt nádherný a stojí za to, se tam podívat.
Následně jsme se prošly po stezce kolem hradu a celkově zahradách a vyrazily směr Loket.
Do hradu Loket už jsme na prohlídku nešly, nějak jsem nechtěla a mamka už tam byla, místo toho jsme si zase hrad obešly, vyfotily, prošly na náměstí a šly se najíst. K obědu si daly salát s řepou, rukolou, ořechy a kozím sýrem a byl fakt skvělej! Byly už skoro 2 hodiny odpoledne, takže jsme pomalu vyrazily na cestu domu, aby mamka dojela nějak rozumně a mě vyhazovala v Praze.
Pokud chcete výlet na víkend, tohle je ten správný tip, nijak nic náročného, ve Varech si můžete dát wellness a zároveň si tady užijte i trochu té historie.

Originally, we wanted to go to the Diana's Lookout Tower in the morning, which I mentioned last time, but there was a triathlon on Sunday, the streets were about to close and we were afraid that we wouldn't even get home, so we skipped it. And I have to mention the Christmas House, which we discovered by chance on our way from Vary to Bečov, only it was open from 1 pm that day and we didn't want to wait.
In Bečov nad Teplou we also went on a tour to see the Reliquary of St. Maurus, which is the second most movable monument in the Czech Republic after the Crown Jewels.
The tour wasn't like it used to be, so it doesn't take you around the interior of the castle anymore, but it does let you into the "museum" where you can read/hear/see the history of how they hid and buried the reliquary in the chapel, restored it, etc. and then the second part is just the reliquary itself and its display. It's really beautiful and worth a look.
Then we walked along the path around the castle and the gardens in general and headed towards Loket.
We didn't go to Loket castle for the tour, somehow I didn't want to and my mom was already there, instead we walked around the castle again, took pictures, went to the square and had a meal. For lunch we had a salad with beets, arugula, nuts and goat cheese and it was really good! It was almost 2 pm, so we slowly made my way home so that my mom would somehow finish in a reasonable manner and drop me off in Prague.
If you want a weekend trip this is the way to go, nothing too strenuous, you can get a spa treatment in Vary and enjoy a bit of that history at the same time.
